5 - 6 APRIL 2023 | 7.30PM
This play is staged by Little Buttons Theatre who made their debut with High Trees at 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
High Trees is a tender tale of guilt and compassion, a darkly humorous and sarcastictwo-hander that simmers with an ominous bite; a fraught, claustrophobic mixture of fear, hope and rage that confronts us, kicking and screaming, with the terror of being a bad person and, for better or worse, who we become when we have nothing to lose...

The Lapwing Act, a theatrical adaptation of a chapter from Patrick Galbraith’s critically acclaimed book, In Search of One Last Song.
The Lapwing Act will fly audiences through time and place from Rochdale to West Wales, via canals, motorway flyovers, and the Manchester Mosses.
This is a haunting exploration of presence and absence. The fate of the lapwing, a beautiful iridescent wading bird is bound up with the march of time, with progress and destruction.

In the backroom of a library archive, three papyrologists pore over some tattered fragments of papyrus, 2000 years old. Could they be the remnants of a lost masterpiece by Euripides?
The ancient text tells the story of Aeyptus, a boy determined to avenge his murdered father and brothers.
But how can he succeed when almost all of the script is missing? Piecing his story together will take you on a journey around the fragments in your own mind: memories, assumptions, things half-heard.
Inspired by the vast collections of ancient papyrus stored in museums around the world, FRAGMENTS is an irreverent take on an ancient lost play: combining anarchic performance, lo-fi imagery, original music... and a whole lot of conjecture.

The last day of anyone’s retirement is usually calm and peaceful, that is unless your name is Victor ‘The Knuckles’ Norman.
This is the dark and gritty story, based loosely on true events, of one man’s rise and fall and all the chaos that ensues in-between.
