Saturday 12th June 15:00 & 19:30

Schiller’s The Robbers, takes us into a fractious world where brother is put against brother in vengeance for fortune and love. It is inspired by Shakespeare’s Edmund-Edgar sub-plot in the tragedy King Lear.

In a spiral of anarchy, malicious brother Franz persuades his father to disinherit his brother Karl, leading him to join a gang of robbers, and leaving his devoted lover to the mercy of Franz. In retaliation of the crimes committed against him, Karl transgresses to acts of violence and cruelty. But is he truly evil? Or is he fighting for an abstract notion of freedom? The victims of his immorality are his father and lover, who, tormented by his actions are driven to the grave.

In a tale of the barbaric nature of humankind, we are left to ponder questions of justice and morality.

How To Book Your Ticket

Each individual ticket purchase corresponds to the number of seats you need. For example if there are two of you, buy ONE ticket of ‘Ticket For Two’ – this will give you two seats in a cluster of socially distant seats. One ‘Ticket for Three’ gives you ‘three seats’ and so on.

Each individual ticket as named (subject to availability) gives you:
Ticket For One = one ticket gets you one seat
Ticket For Two = one ticket gets you two seats clustered together
Ticket For Three = one ticket gets you three seats clustered together
Ticket For Four = one ticket gets you four seats clustered together

We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause but the venue has to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons visiting the theatre and the seating restrictions enable us to comply with these requirements and still stage live theatre for you to enjoy.
