The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot
3rd – 6th June 2021.
The Drama Studio London grad show season at the Playground Theatre begins with The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, written by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by Ishwar Maharaj, and performed by actors on our BA (Hons) in Professional Acting course.
Thursday 3rd June 19:30
Friday 4th June 15:00 & 19:30
Saturday 5th June 15:00 & 19:30
What will happen when some of the most infamous historical figures meet in a courtroom in purgatory to settle Judas Iscariot’s fate? Stephen Adly Guirgis’ Pulitzer-prize winning drama takes the most notorious betrayal from history and twists it into a psychoanalytic examination, capable of changing our innermost beliefs. Beneath layers of comedy, the heart of this play asks questions of faith, forgiveness, and unconditional love which forces us ruminate over questions of spirituality. Set in the modern day, the wit and irreverence of the characters, gives the play an immediacy which makes it pertinent today.
How To Book Your Ticket
Each individual ticket purchase corresponds to the number of seats you need. For example if there are two of you, buy ONE ticket of ‘Ticket For Two’ – this will give you two seats in a cluster of socially distant seats. One ‘Ticket for Three’ gives you ‘three seats’ and so on.
Each individual ticket as named (subject to availability) gives you:
Ticket For One = one ticket gets you one seat
Ticket For Two = one ticket gets you two seats clustered together
Ticket For Three = one ticket gets you three seats clustered together
Ticket For Four = one ticket gets you four seats clustered together
We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause but the venue has to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons visiting the theatre and the seating restrictions enable us to comply with these requirements and still stage live theatre for you to enjoy.
