Generous donations from supporters, friends and patrons enable the Playground Theatre to develop new and exciting work.
Originally an old bus depot, it was then used, for a number of years, for rehearsals and to
workshop experimental pieces. In 2017 the doors opened to the public and The Playground
became a fully-fledged theatre.
All money raised through donations is used to support new and local theatre practitioners
to create extraordinary work which can be shared with the local community. The
Playground Theatre is proud of its thriving out-reach programme which includes Well Read
and Well Written.
